Dr. Lynn Saroyan Skaff, Licensed Educational Psychologist

I work with people who need real answers

Parents looking for clarity. Districts that need another set of expert hands. Attorneys building the strongest case for their clients. Here's how I fit in.

Families

You know something isn't clicking for your child, but you're not sure what — or what to do about it. I provide independent assessments, IEP advocacy, 504 guidance, and counseling that give you a clear picture and a real plan.

School Districts

When your team is stretched thin or you need a third-party perspective, I step in. I work with districts on a contract or substitute basis to handle assessments, consultations, and the evaluations that can't wait.

Legal Professionals

Special education cases need credible, thorough evaluations. I provide independent educational evaluations and expert witness testimony that give attorneys and their clients the professional evidence their case requires.

What I do

Every family, every student, every situation is different. Here's where I can help.

01

Psychoeducational Assessments

Focus: Strengths & Challenges

An assessment should be a relief, not a burden. Whether we are investigating learning differences or giftedness, I look beyond the diagnosis to the "core self." You'll receive a roadmap that identifies exactly how to work with challenges or use strategies to work around them — at school, home, and in the community.

02

IEP Consultation & Advocacy

Focus: Your Child's Rights

IEP meetings can feel overwhelming, and the process isn't always transparent. I help parents understand their child's rights, prepare for meetings, and push back when a plan doesn't actually reflect what their student needs. You shouldn't have to navigate this alone.

03

504 Plan Accommodations

Focus: Equitable Access

Not every student who needs support qualifies for special education — and that's okay. A 504 plan can open doors to accommodations that make a real difference in the classroom. I assess your student's learning profile and recommend the specific supports they're entitled to.

04

Counseling & Coaching

Focus: A Tool for Every Session

Counseling with me is a collaborative, light-hearted space where you can feel safe and heard. While I always come prepared, I'm ready to pivot to whatever you need in the moment. My "Practical Strategist" promise? You will leave every session with at least one new tool or strategy to use.

What I evaluate

If something's getting in the way of learning, I can help figure out what it is — and what to do about it.

Expert Insight, Parent-to-Parent Empathy

As a Licensed Educational Psychologist and a professor, I've spent my career decoding the complexities of how we learn. But as a parent of three, I've also spent my evenings teaching calming strategies and navigating the social "big feelings" that don't come with a manual.

I know the weight of that quiet fear, wondering if you're doing the right thing for your child. My goal is to be the person you can rely on to guide you through those challenges. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions because I know that your child's challenges and strengths are what make them unique.

When I'm not in the office or the classroom, you'll likely find me on the move — traveling, cheering at a sports game, or playing a friendly game of chess. I bring that same high-energy, joyful spirit to our sessions. I'm here to make sure you leave feeling heard, relieved, and equipped with the answers you've been looking for.
